Saints try fake FG with 2 mins left up 3???

Saints try fake FG with 2 mins left up 3??? Someone wanna explain the logic there? Please tell me I'm missing something b/c it makes zero sense to me.
Game over if they get a first down is all I can think of - didn't see it so don't know the specifics.
Perhaps going up six was of little consolation if they feared giving up the touchdown? I left in the third quarter to go to the station, so I missed this. Hope it makes the highlights. I wish someone would take all the trick plays of the day and air them back to back for the 10 minutes or so a week it would take.
No idea what he was thinking - I was watching online so couldnt really tell - did the holder bobble the snap? I'm assuming it was a called fake. This means you have no confidence in your D. Which you shouldn't after Wash and Atl shred ya. Now how the hell did NE only score 10 points?

It was 4th and 7 from the ATL 15 with 2:11 left and I believe Atlanta had 2 TO's left.

Beyond the play call, it was poorly executed (or well covered).
:mad:Makes zero sense to me...It would have been a straight on kick from 32 yards in a dome. As one of the other posters stated, it was a perfect snap and a designed fake all way. These Saints have killed me at the end of the game all year. First was the Henne pick 6, followed by the 1 in 10,000 fiasco at the end of the previous Atlanta game (instead of taking knees they opted to handed off ...first resulting in an injury to their center to stop the clock, and then followed that up with a fumble). Today, I was on the over.
Didn't see it, but I like the call.... except for the fact that I was on the over :(
I have no problem with going for it. But I would rather trust the Saints offense over any element of surprise you have with a fake.
