We see this type of thread twice a year regarding these Harrah's:
Just read this article, and it will let you know Gary Loveman's and Harrah's REAL position on responsible gambling. You lose $127 million at Gary Loveman's joint, pay $113 in cash, and what do you get? A comp, a suite, free RFB for the week? Hell to the no! Instead...
Harrah's had the Las Vegas district attorney charge multi-millionaire mogul Terence Watanabe with four felonies regarding fraud and theft in what could have amounted to 20+ years in jail when there was a discrepancy over the last $14 mil on a $127 million loss Watanabe took at Harrah's properties.
Harrah's literally pumps you up with alcohol and drugs and painkillers to get you to lose over $100 million, increases your credit limit, and after you pay $113 million in losses, they get the district attorney to charge you with four felonies possibly amounting to 20+ years in prison over a disagreement with the last $14 million. Great guys imo:

A couple of excerpts:
"Caesers employees were giving Watanabe painkillers. The drugs, combined with the alcohol, “significantly intoxicated and impaired” Watanabe, causing him to gamble more recklessly, the letter charged."
"Ning opposed efforts by Caesars Palace to increase Watanabe’s credit limit in June 2007 because he believed Watanabe was “out of control” and showing signs of being a problem gambler."
"The letter said that Christopher Corso, a longtime Caesars Palace bellman who indicated he was assigned full-time to take care of Watanabe’s needs, told defense attorneys that no Caesars Palace or Rio employees “ever attempted to cut off or even slow down Mr. Watanabe’s drinking or gambling.”
Corso also alleged in the letter that Caesars Palace provided Watanabe with “controlled substances, namely prescription painkillers,” from September through December 2007. The letter said Corso will testify that he once saw a Caesars security officer deliver a “children’s candy box” containing Lortab to Watanabe’s room. The box was delivered on behalf of another casino employee, he contends."
Two sides to every story, but it's obvious they weren't trying to stop him from gambling. Question is, how many hundreds of millions of dollars does you have to lose before someone thinks you have a gambling problem?
