Shame on Harrahs/Caesars........

Couldn't agree more Climate. Most people couldn't tell you what EV even stands for. Back when I was living in Vegas I was once asked by the Director of Slots at the Hard Rock why I didn't play there anymore. When I responded that the video poker payouts were all very poor he admitted that management had made the decision that they could make more money by tightening for the squares and taking less volume than loosening for the sharps and getting all the action. Also, most people are going to play where their friends are, they are staying, etc. Doesnt matter that Harrah's may hit a soft 17 if their buddies are there and the drinks are cheap or even free. As you said, they are there to have fun. Absolutely NO difference to them between a house edge of 2 or 4%.
I actually enjoy the buildup to the final nine, but that is just me. Every bettor should watch the WSOP coverage where Matt Affleck is knocked out. It will put "bad beat" in perspective. No more bitching about UTEP +3.5 losing because their extra point was blocked and returned for two the other way. WOW you must watch it. Oh yeah and Harrahs does suck.
Harrahs had Michelle Wie 2500-1 to win the Masters a few years ago. Im not sure how she could even qualify for the Masters field any more than I could. yeah maybe they should concentrate on running a sportsbook rather than idiotic offerings and looking to rip people. If the gaming commission was something other than incompetant and a casino rubber stamp, they should stop Harrahs from taking bets on "dead" horses
I believe Wie could actually win the US Amateur and thus qualify but not positive. One way to stop this nonsense would be to regulate that you could bet the other side. They would not put up ridiculous drivel if they knew you could bet the dont. Ultimately all they understand is money but as stated before most people are sheep.

Seems about like a 4th and 15 conversion to me.
Agree on the odds, i was referring to equity. I did not have millions on UTEP.
Good point. I doubt anyone was weeping into their Utep caps. ;)
