Shooter's Bowl Thread Up and down CFB season.
Usually do better in bowls b/c there are fewer games and I can isolate them.
NEW MEXICO BOWL:
201 UTEP (+12) 3*
UTEP ended the season cold (1-5 L6) and BYU got hot after the fire of their DC (5-2 L7). BYU put everything they had into the 1-pt loss at Utah. BYU started 1-4 and may be relieved to get into a bowl game. However, they can't be excited about being in this game. Miners the more motivated team and may look at this as a new lease on life. They have a decent amount of seniors and they will play hard.
HUMANITARIAN BOWL:
Leaning with Northern Illinois at this point. Interim coach who was the LB coach under Jerry Kill against Pat Hill who has won plenty of big games seems like a mismatch. However, Fresno gets up for BCS conf opponents. Not for MAC teams.
NEW ORLEANS BOWL:
205 Ohio U (+3) (-115) 2*
Troy is making their 3rd trip to this bowl in 5 years. Ohio lost a game they should have won in the Motor City Bowl last year. Ohio is the better running team and has the better defense.
May have an FCS or DII/DIII play tomorrow.
