Shooter's Preseason Week 1

Shooter's Preseason Week 1 1-0 start with Charliej's play on the OVER in the HOF game. Here's what I played this week: 253/254 NE/Philly UN 35 258 Oakland (PK) This line is long gone. I don't like the current #. 261 Minnesota (+1') Still some +1s or PKs out there. Colts backup QB Sorgi is out. Peyton will play 1-2 series tops. New coaches are usually play ons in Week 1, but not here. Caldwell is Dungy 2.0. He has full confidence of Polian and owner Jim Irsay (not necessarily the fans though). Without Sorgi, the Colts only have Curtis Painter (Purdue rookie) and Chris Crane (BC rookie). I expect Tavarris Jackson to have a fire under his a$$ after the Favre hoopla. Plus, Rosenfels is a quality backup and #3 JD Booty is much better than his counterparts on the Colts. Caldwell will approach preseason the same as Dungy, with not a lot of urgency. 265 Denver (+3) I played against the Broncos already in Week 1 at Cincy for the regular season opener, but I like them here. They are already getting hell from the fans and getting booed in a scrimmage for godsakes. I expect a motivated effort here from the Donx. This may be the few times they have a chance to win games. 268 Detroit (-2') Didn't catch the -1' or -2, but still like it under 3. Coach in his first game is a really good spot here. 271 Tampa Bay (+4) Tenn looked good in their first couple drives with the 1st team Off, but I think this overvalues them here. Fisher did a fake punt in the 1st qtr of a preseason game. This misleads people that he is totally hardcore about preseason. Raheem Morris's first game. Good spot. 273/274 Houston/KC OV 35 Riding with Fezz and Charlie J as well. Tyler Thigpen is KC's third-stringer at QB and he put up great #'s last year. Houston also has veteran backups with points to prove (Orlovsky and Grossman). 275 Cleveland (+3) First game for the Penguini in C-town. The Browns have 3 potential starters (Quinn, Anderson and Brett Ratliff, who Mangini traded for and was with the Jets and knows his offense well). Rodgers has a year under his belt and I don't see him getting near as much work in the preseason as he did last year. 277 Seattle (+3') Jim Mora Jr's first game. Norv isn't the type to take preseason seriously either. Hope I can contribute positively to the board. GL
Very nice post. Solid info and easy to navigate. A++ Thanks for sharing. burger
great post, go 10-0 I hope I like every play.
Thanks guys. Looking forward to sharing and learning here. I've been pretty good at picking winners and the correct sides, but I am trying to be more selective in terms of line value and numbers shopping. I, like many others, have lost games I should've won simply by taking bad numbers.

Raiders pk -110 still available at WSEX. (BTW, why doesn't WSEX have college games?)
Shooter - what is the basic strategy for playing on or against teams coming off having one preseason game under their belt already? I was considering Chicago as a teaser leg @ Buffalo.
Raiders Pick em -110 was available at 4 pm yesterday at Plaza AND Binions downtown.
I don't really know of a particular strategy for this particular angle. If anyone else does, please chime in. Sorgi was a huge loss for this game. he would have played most of it. Chris Crane had actually been released already and was re-signed.
Just saw Gore and Bruce not playing tonight.
