Shooter's Week #5 CFB

Obviously their points are valid, Shooter. Posting RAS's plays after the lines have moved doesn't really do anybody any good. If you still think they are good bets, simply use the current lines in your post. They are not "attacking" you internet-style, they are just bringing up a good point. If you don't think the plays are good at the current number, just don't post them. I think there are many people who appreciate your picks and wish you would continue posting, but acting childish after someone calls you out for past posting lines isn't really what this board is about.

this will always be the gotcha gotcha. 1) you arent a good capper unless you GET good lines 2) you cant post those good lines cuz they are either not WA or not available at the time you post. not everyone can run here to the board and post a play as soon as they bet it...

How come RAS posts at WA lines? How come Old School posts at WA lines? How come JakeNHL posts at WA lines? I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with your post. If someone can't post current lines for whatever reason, they shouldn't bother without stating "I know these lines are gone" or something similar. You can pretty much replicate the records of the posters I mentioned if you're around at the time of their posts. Shooter's? Not-so-much. Ahearn's post summed up my take on the issue and was well-written IMO. Shooter admits he's trying to help people, which is to be commended... but posting lines after they have steamed isn't helpful (unless you still feel the line has value like Fez did with the SMU over this week) and also misrepresents the record he continues to mention. Many subscribers here don't know any better, so they will see his record and figure "wow, I can follow him and make money" when in reality, there's no way they could get several of the numbers he posts.

you make good points but i'm not going to get into this conversation for the 100000000th time on these boards. It's a no-win situation for people that post many plays (not the 5 to 10 that RAS or Fezzik posts). Either people bitch you dont post a WA number of they point and laugh because you missed "the better number". maybe seeing how a capper like OS or Shooter can get a good number continually will get people to grab a lines service and multiple books and understand what it means to grab a good line before it gets away....

You're right, Old School is a better comparison, but I thought he just posted the Pinny line at the time of his post, which is all Shooter would have to do. Maybe I'm wrong, doesn't matter, I think we've covered the topic.

Add: 110 BYU (-10) (-115) 2nd Half Utah St was getting completely outyarded all over the place. Forced a BYU punt and was down 14-7 w/ about :45 left. Utah St's Borel throws a terrible pitch and there's a fumble. BYU gets a TD. Borel walked off the field with his head down and a coach consoling him. Utah St got greedy and it cost them. BYU 273-79 yd edge. 16-7 1st Downs. Still hoping the Under holds up. Played Pitt, but couldn't post b/c I was at work late.
