The Shrink: No respect at all for any handicappers vs. Billy Walters? It was a GREAT broadcast last night EOG's W night podcast with John Kelly, Shrink, and Phil Steele. What was very interesting to me was the accolades put on Phil, and how he was "the very best" in the industry. But when it came time to deciding what to wager on, Phil said "I like Michigan". Shrink thinks/knows BW is on Sparty. So what happens. Phil (their 'great' college football expert) opinion has no relevance. NONE. ZERO. GIMME SPARTY -2.5!!!!!!!!!!!! For what it is worth, I kind of agree and disagree with Ken here. BW IS the best guy we have heard of at this, but surely when he bumps up vs. Steele or Nover or Alf, or Tim or Kevin, or Scott K, or Bob, etc. common sense says "ok, let's go light or pass on this one". It was funny to have them describe Phil as the "no1 expert" and then throw his opinion on a game into the trash can........

quick answer Billy Walters is a gambler and Phil Steele is a very knowlegable person on college football but is a tout that sells his picks.

Yes I found that interesting as well, when people you respect are on different sides of the same game - for the most part I pass on the game, simple. As you know, Steele isn't so much a skilled bettor but he is a decent judge -his info is very good and the market has respected him for years now.

billy walters is another name that has been in the las vegas sports betting circle for quite a few years.but has any body in this forum seen what his plays are before the games go off? if there is would it be possible for you to post them? fezz---you are in the hilton conteet and people can see your plays before the games go off. you do some posting here. you are in the leroy's contest this week. people will be able to see all seven plays before kickoff. any help out their? bw's picks!

Trying nor to LOL Its the same thing every year-he is past his prime-can not win-not like it used to be etc etc. In most instances he waits till game day-So he can make bets most of us would retire on. He wins-year after year after year. No, its notr easy getting his games and totals. Even those in direct employ do not get everything. Wonder why?

BW has ALWAYS won BECAUSE he can manipulate the line. The computer boys were famous for betting "small" amounts of money, moving the line, and then, when the limits were removed, betting HUGE amounts on the other side. It's like playing poker with 1/100th the bank as your opponent. You have no chance. I'll take Michigan +3 1/2 (the good Dr also loves Mich St). I think the good Dr has 11 favorites this week, and one dog (Hawaii).

Discussion on BW I know from a very good source BW lost last year. He was the best of the best for a long time but not anymore.
