So Long... Take Care

I don't think making a statement (for everyday posters) is necessarily out of line, but there's no need for detailed commentary. BP mentioned a few weeks ago that he was leaving at year end, but his subsequent posts haven't been the least bit negative. Going back, I would have liked to have known that Old School or Lake Erie Lenny were moving on, so I could have thanked them for their efforts. Just my opinion - for what it's worth.
Do we really need an obituary announcement every time someone decides not to renew? Big deal... We move on.
+ 1 leaving, staying, who cares. Do you really need the attention to post your leaving? JEEEEZ don't go Shane, come back !!!!!!
Shane. Awesome.
Wow..
Glad someone said it. When I get PMs about discontinuing I thank them for their business and invite them to return any time. But these announcements are pretty much a screw you, hope you lose thing. Spare us. If you don't want to buy a new suit, do you run up to the cash register and say "I don't think this suit works for me"? Sorry, but we have too many who are happy and are looking forward to the college bowls and NFL playoffs and Super Bowl. I don't think they care if you've decided to move on.
Wow Anthony, that is quite a differnet tone than the PM's we shared last night. No where in my message did I put a screw you, or even a negative comment. I simply posted that I had decided to move on, THANKED posting memebers, stated that I had learned a LOT and wished everyone future success. Where is the screw you?? Where is my discontent? After you had privately asked for the reasons for my leaving, then me providing them and you thanking me, even stating that my "private comments" were "more than fair', you come after me like this... Unreal... Kind of solidifies my "private comments to you" As a FYI only, I had a few nice replys from a few folks that DID care that I was moving on. To those I say thanks for the kind words. It's been fun... Best of luck...

Wasn't referring to you.
p.s., I would also like to congratulate Shooter on his postings. He truly is an artist at work the way he paints a picture for each of his plays. Loved his write up on the NO/ATL MNF game, it was spot on! Good luck to you in the future Shooter!
Always a great read... Have never seen anyone, anywhere put the kind of work into doing what Shooter does here... Day in, Day out. My Hat is off to you sir! All the best!
Best of luck to you.

Written word hard to ignore - Is my post
Wasn't referring to you.
Pretty hard to decipher Anthony... Sure seemed like a square kick to me. I sure felt it. If it wasn't... it wasn't.. we move on.
Pretty hard to decipher Anthony... Sure seemed like a square kick to me. I sure felt it. If it wasn't... it wasn't.. we move on.
Poppa K - I can understand, seeing it was your thread, why you might think Anthony was taking a shot at you but I didn't take it that away. I think it was more with people like Bagiant coming in to say he's seen better, he's gone, etc. Knowing Anthony, he's not the kind of guy who is going to treat you with respect in a PM and then bash you publicly.

I think we all agree that your site here is new and somewhat experimental in that you are trying something different and I'm sure you want it to succeed. I remember in another thread, when there was criticism about Fez's lack of posting, you said:
For the record, we have no problem with criticism like this. Valid and fair complaints will make us better.
But now your comment appears to tie you in to an established suit making operation and refusing to care if a customer is not happy? While I agree a random announcement of "I'm leaving" is not helpful to you, but it seems you would gain more if you asked for a reason why he is leaving, as opposed to posting a comment like that. It could help improve your product. Remember, you won't have the "momentum" next season off the back of the "Fez posts here, won the last 2 Hilton contests" that you had this season. You'll still have customers, but I'd be surprised if you had the number of new signups as you had prior to this season. So retaining current customers, I'd think, would be your prime priority.
