Someone finally calls for mugging the receiver strategy Ex Oregon coach Bellotti calling the Or State UW game said the correct defensive strategy would be to interfere or take down the receivers b/c the penalty was only 15 yards and they couldn't get within field goal range with only 10 seconds left. Slightly different from the near the goalline scenario, but same principle.

10 years from now., 'intentional' Defensive penalties will have clock reset AND the yards assessed. Correction, 100 years with these coaches. Announcers complained at end of the half saying the D should call time out with :03 left since the O had the ball at midfield...........4th down. good grief.

Much better strategy by the jets to draw the pi call at the one yard line today ;)
