Steelers Secondary, BEYOND Stupid

Steelers Secondary, BEYOND Stupid If you missed it, up 24-20 1. EZ interception with :45 left. Safety has the easiest pick you have ever seen. Instead of securing the ball and cradling it, he clearly is looking to pick this thing AND RUN......takes his eyes off it and drops the bunny. 2. Next play helmut to helmut hit on the WR downfield! Ps. On a stupid players note, Time to let JaMarcus Russell that he IS Ryan Leaf......
i did well with my futures this year but Pitt O10' light bet was a loser. I didn't think Cincy would be that good and they were playing AFC West this year. Watched them all year and their D has really let them down. The stud D lineman and Palamalo injuries did them in - just not the same w/o those two. Harrison did too many banquets I guess as he's been average. They have lost so many games in the 4q this year I can't recount them all. While I didn't bet it, Oakland scoring a lot today didn't surprise me at all - the Denver game surprised me.
The Houston Texans' coaches are farther out than that...on 1st and goal trailing 23-12, they decide to dial up the halfback option pass! Picked at the 2. Game and season over. I always wondered why they have a bull on their helmets, now I know.
I saw that play Classic example of dumb football. When will players learn 1. On 1 and 2 downs, BE CAREFUL WITH THE FOOTBALL. DON'T REACH THE BALL TO THE GOAL/THROW INTO TRAFFIC. oF COURSE 2. oN 4TH DOWN, DON'T THROW THE BALL INTO THE 4TH ROW.......I remember John Elway doing this in the early 1990s in Buffalo, landing the game on 7. It was one of my first big middles as I had +7.5 and -6.5-105 vs. the Sands.

been waiting for this thread, was watching on sportsline so not sure if this is accurate but i think stl punted on 4th and 4 on their 45 or so with 4 minutes left and down 9

I suppose they still probably should have gone for it, but I don't think any NFL goes for it in that spot.
"To-day do I bake, to-morrow I brew, The day after that the queen's child comes in; And oh! I am glad that nobody knew That the name I am called is Rumpelstiltskin!" Is that you, Chap? ;) LOL
Defensible decision
been waiting for this thread, was watching on sportsline so not sure if this is accurate but i think stl punted on 4th and 4 on their 45 or so with 4 minutes left and down 9
There was actually 6 minutes left, their punter had been great all day, and their defense was shutting down the Bears. Punter pinned the Bears at the 3 and they got the ball back with 3:30 or so at their own 45. Boller threw a pick on first and 10 from there. I thought it was a defensible decision and it was preferrable for those of us with +9 and +10 but nothing on the money line.
