Texas line closes at 3
And don't tell me you've forgotten 'The Game that Changed the South.' I'm sure that left quite an impression on the adolescent Old School.
WTF? Team with Heisman winner 8-25 in bowls.

Texas down to +4. Lots of time left.
OS, tail you blindly often but will just agree to disagree on this one (on game, looks like you predicted line move as usual). I have Bama future to win BCS so I don't plan to bet the game anymore unless it indeed comes down to 3. While I don't think Mac is Wannstedt like, I still like Saban head to head. Suh is great but never had a game like that - I think it confirms the weakness in the Texas OLine that Bama D will exploit heavily. Also don't think history from 2002 and before means anything to the players in 2010. Sharps may bet this down but I think they are wrong and if it goes to 3 I'll bet some more on Bama. Like Ken White and other sharps overrating USC all year, partly based on history, I think they have underrated Bama and overrated Texas and Big 12. Bottom line - just think Bama is much better. We'll see. I'm usually wrong on any capping but hope not in this case. I know you've said you've been getting beat pretty bad recently even though you're beating the closing line - please don't take offense but I hope that continues with just this one game (I'll take Bama winning by 3 too). GL on all your other plays, most of which I'm on.

My "square" friends are finally killing me this year. I look for a low scoring close game here. 3 points either way. IMO, people are overreacting to the last game. The Gold Sheet had Texas rated 3 points better than Alabama before the last game. Now they have Alabama rated 4 points better than Texas, a 7 point swing based on one game. Add in the site, and the Heisman factor, and the two teams recent bowl results (why the hate for Brown who is 5-0 in recent bowls?) and the wrong team is favored.
OS, no hate for Brown at all - I think he's a great recruiter and a solid coach - but I bet my BCS future on Bama almost solely on Saban and his ability to get the max out of his players (in addition to odds) - take for example at how he's brought along that QB. I think he's a great football coach while Brown is solid but wins more on the talent he has than some great coaching ability. I look at the end of the Neb game and the time mgt Texas bungled there and it just reinforces this belief. Coaching aside, what it comes down to for me is I think Bama will win both sides of LOS and thus I don't think 3-5 will be enough. Believe it will play out very similar to Florida game. But that is why they play em right. GL again and lets root for Bama by 3 and we're both happy.
After Nebraska pitching a shutout in the Holiday Bowl, the narrative will definitely shift a bit in regards to the Texas offense. Barring SEC domination, and Big 12 collaps in the other games, I do think this closes no higher than -3 now.
Yes, Nebraska only lost one game by more than 2 points. They are the type of team that the public considers boring, but they can make even the best teams look bad, even when Nebraska loses. Arizona was lucky to get 100 yards vs Nebraska in tonight's bowl game!!! Texas also has a great defense. They held Nebraska to about 130 total net yards (if my memory is correct).
Not sure it comes down - Georgia dominated A&M. We'll see how other SEC, B12 teams come out. I'm eager to see Tenn vs. VT. I think the only thing definite so far is that the Pac 10 is down this year - beat badly in 3 games so far and USC was not overly impressive. Gotta think sharps already took their bigger number here - and I think Joe Public will be on Bama. But I'm usually wrong on such things.

BTW, what is the latest on the Florida situation? Meyer's mental situation should be a distraction to Florida, and I don't understand the line rise.
