Touts in general

Touts in general I appreciate guys like Fezzik and others who share their thoughts on a forum like this. As far as the tout industry as a whole I would have to guess most are better at marketing than in actually picking winners over a lifetime. If you have a talent for picking winners, why waste extra time out of your life trying to sell these things, simply play a little more and relax in whatever spare time their could be left in a day or a week. There are some pretty good post on this site and other sites that don't cost you anything. Just my thoughts. To all the touts, I don't blame you, I know there is a market out there, waiting.
Most touts are total marketing windbags and are lucky to be right. There are some guys in the biz though who seem to do it because they generally want to "give back" or help, not so much about $$ to them. They don't charge an arm or leg and hit well. Right now, the three that I've bought or got for free in the past that come to mind are: Fezzik Ace Ace (aka Alan Eastman) Sharp Football Analysis These guys give out (or did it in the past) free plays and solid info on forums, and now all charge a little bit for their insights. A price well worth paying. Though Ace is still free, depending where you get his plays from.
Touts East Coast and others on the board- While 95% of touts are windbags and lose on a consistent basis, a few can tout and also win. There is nothing that says you can't do both. Fat Jack and myself seem to do well at both. Lee Sterling, Paramount Sports, Inc.
Lee, do you happen to remember your overall record while at vegas insider? or do you have a documrnted record anywhere?

There are many outstanding winning touts I think 1/2 of them landed on THIS board for a reason.......let's focus on the handicapping folks......
Reply to East Coast East Coast- If memory serves me right I was in the 53.8 to 54.2% range overall for the two years I was selling picks and monitored at Vegas Insider. I remain on good terms with VI and hope to attend future handicapping conferences. If you want the exact numbers feel free to contact Danny, Brian, Kevin or the owner Peter for the exact numbers. I rate my games 1, 1 1/2 and 2 units. Because they only charged $649 at VI for a season for each individual sport of my picks where I charge $1,500 I only sold my opinions and one unit plays. I never sold my 1 1/2 unit and 2 unit plays. Those did hit a slightly higher percentage. I hope that answered your question. If you want more info post again and when I check the thread I'll reply.
