Tressel getting massively out-coached in key decisions

My other question is how can Ohio State not have any guy who can even try a 52 yard field goal. I mean seriously, how hard is it to recruit a kicker as a perennial top 10 team? Beyond that why the hell punt from the opponents 35? I would venture to guess punting from the opponents 35, even on 4th and 35 is -EV
When up 15-10 and in field goal range (as conservative as Tressel is SUPPOSED to play...in his mind) why not run a draw on the 3rd and 16 and take the fg instead of dropping back, getting sacked and taken out of fg range? The guy just doesn't seem to have a consistent pattern of play or theology. One drive he is balls to the wall....the next drive he is Tony Dungy on steroids.
Even after the sack I think he still could have taken a chance at a fg. But seriously, up 5, if you just let Prior draw or roll out and run, he's at least 75% to get 3-4 yards. Then you kick the FG and can't lose without OT
i sat in the stands for another schooling last night. 4th and a dick and osu punts or kicks fg's. Indecisive on major decisions time after time. the composure and confidence of carroll and crew was evident throughtout the game. If the buckeyes make a stop or two the decisions may be looked at differently butthe fact carroll has testicles and a confidence to not play so close to the vest made a huge difference. lets not forget joe mcknight being the best athlete on the field. major disappointment for buckeye faithful. im glad they covered....really glad. it zapped that arkie st loser

Tressel seems to have peaked 5 years ago, although last year's bowl effort vs. Texas was solid.
