Tuesday Bases Total [B]Balt/Detroit Under 9[/B] Matusz/Washburn One of my favorite angles in totals is to play an under when one pitcher is making his MLB debut after a strong minor league stint. Matusz, for Batimore, is just that, ranked one of the best prospects in baseball. Detroits Hurler, Washburn, is pitching lights out with an ERA of 2.64. Coming over from Seattle, this is his first start for Seattle. Washburn will have to adjust to this park but the generous 9 is good enough for me to take a shot. This number is already juiced. I saw it at -130 not long ago. It should be at 8.5 soon, if not already. 8.5 is still worth it but drop the bet size.

Tim - do you give any consideration to playing 1st 5 inning lines? Thanks....

Clark, Many people do play the 5 inning line. I'm not one of them but I know some who do. ER, from Sportsmemo has played this angle in the past.
