Two Wednesday Plays Folks, I know this site is primarily foots. However, there is still money to be made in bases. September can be very profitable.
Two I am on today:
I played Colorado under 10. It is now WA at 9.5. Still may be good enough.
I think the Rockies win fairly easily but never willing to lay juice anywhere near this number.
Jimenez is 5-1 with a 1.77 ERA over his last six starts,
He has won three straight at home, posting an eye opening 1.19 ERA with 21 k's in 22 2/3 innings. Against the Mets his ERA is 3.00. New York will start Tim Redding (2-4, 5.94), He's 1-2 with a 4.40 ERA in five career starts against the Rockies. As always when playing a total the bullpens come into play. I'm ok with either team keeping the number low once they head out to the mound.
And, Andy Fletcher, a major under ump, is behind the plate. He should help with a wider strike zone. It all points under, here.
Also, took the Rays as small favorites. Garza has owned Boston.
Garza seem to own the Bosox this year. He's 2-0 with a 1.88 ERA and 15 hits allowed in 28 2/3 innings over four starts versus Boston, Including two wins in last October's AL championship series, Garza is 7-1 with a 2.66 ERA in 12 starts against the Red Sox.
Garza seems to handle the Bosox's better bats. Ortiz is 2 for 18, 9 strikeouts, Drew is 2 for 16, Pedroia 5 for 16, Lowell is 3 for 20.
Beckett has not been himself lately.
I'll take my chances with the side, here.
