Ucla Kind of like what Tim Trushel, I dont know how to spell it, said on the Leroys show about USC. Sometimes a team with a good rep from the past, the lines cant catch up to them when they fall off and they lay too much chalk. Look at USC, 8-3 now. Getting outyarded 4 games in a row. Rookie QB isnt good 11 TDs 10 INTs. Number of good or decent teams they have beat by 13+? One California 30-3. other games; got murdered by Stanford and Oregon beat Ohio St, Arizona, Oregon State and Notre Dame by 7 or less lost to Washington by 3 Rivalry game here for UCLA. They are all-in. I like the +13.

That may have been a cool finish to a rivalry game if they were undefeated or at least Pac-10 champs, but in this season, that looked nothing but CHEAP. If I'm on UCLA's staff, that play becomes my mantra for recruiting (we have class, clearly SC does not) and for off-season training. Nuehiesel can't do it, but next season, a senior leader on defense needs to put out a "bounty" on Barkley in the rematch. Absolute crap by SC.

I'm siding with Pete Carroll on this one. UCLA, down 14 points with 50 seconds left calls a timeout after a first down run. In my mind, if you're still going to play the game to win, then so am I. You aren't expecting the play action 50 yard bomb to end the game, so I'm going to run it. There was really no reason for UCLA to prolong this game and got what they asked for. I applaud Pete Carroll for sending a message to petty coaching.
