Uh-Oh Netto , Wind Chill 7 degrees in Pittsburgh!!

Uh-Oh Netto , Wind Chill 7 degrees in Pittsburgh!! I know it's Winter in NYCity, but it just DOES NOT get this cold in The Big Apple. "Cold Weather Won't matter. Both Teams have to play in it" .........Kenny Anderson, just before the 1982 AFC ice bowl. ........Mia Hurricanes, just before getting anhilated by a slow ND team Ok, two teams from the South, but the Coasts simply don't get the frigid temps like this. Add a point to the Steelers.......GOING to the SB........
Mark Sanchez doesn't perform well in these conditions. Last week in New England the weather was very mild.
I thought this might be junk, and I don't know that the weather was "mild" in NE last week unless temps of 30 and windchill of 19 is "very mild", but I did look through Sanchez logs on NFL.com: Top 5 coldest games he's played in: 09 Wk 17 H vs Cin (Cin lay down), Temp 20, WC 4, Sanchez 8-16, 0 TD, 0 Int, QBR 60 09 WC @ Cin, Temp 21, WC 9, Sanchez 12-15, 1 TD, 0 Int, QBR 139 10 Wk 13 @ NE, Temp 27, WC 15, Sanchez 17-33, 0 TD, 3 Int, QBR 28 10 Wk 15 @ Pit, Temp 25, WC 16, Sanchez 19-29, 0 TD, 0 Int,QBR 81 09 Wk 15 H vs Atl, Temp 29, WC 18, Sanchez 18-32, 1 TD, 3 Int, QBR 50 They won both games vs. Cin and the game vs. Pit. Lost vs. NE and Atl. Certainly they were able to run in order to win vs. Cin which they won't be able to do this week. I think he'll have to have a good game to win this week in Pit, and he has not completed more than 19 passes or thrown more than 1 TD in very cold weather. Should be an interesting dynamic.
I know it's Winter in NYCity, but it just DOES NOT get this cold in The Big Apple.... Ok, two teams from the South, but the Coasts simply don't get the frigid temps like this.
1/20/08 NYG@GB. -3 F at kickoff. God knows what the wind chill was during this game. NYG 23, GB 20. And, NYG beat Favre who had been playing in cold weather for the entire substantive part of his career. The point being, we cannot roundly conclude that NYJ will lose because of the weather. As I sit here, I do think that PIT will win this game, but not because it is going to be cold. PIT will win because they have the better QB, equal defense (at worst), will be playing at home, and because it's simply just too difficult to beat a quality non-divisional foe twice in the same season.

5dimes has Sanchez over/under 18.5 completions -115. Thoughts?
I played it under last week and was a winner (16). My only concern is NYJ will not be able to run against Pittsburgh therefore more attempts. He will also not have time to throw deep so dink and dunk. With all that being said I may still play under.
Clearly the weather favors the Steelers The only question is whether it is worth .2 points or 3 points.
The only question is whether it is worth .2 points or 3 points.
Good...my under 40 is a freakin' monster Fez...Guess my 9 years in the Marines as a meteorologist did come in handy... And a cold game where the elements are at play favors the team which is great on defense, (Pitt has an edge) can run the ball (about even), and encourages more conservative play calling (favors the team getting the points)...It also favors the team who is better on special teams as field position is so crucial (undeniable Jets Edge). The Jets ran for 4 yards a carry and over 100 yards last time when they played in snow flurries... I'm not sure if you have ever lived in Manhattan, but NYC is not exactly tropical in the winter time... You being the master NFL guy should understand the counterintuitive value created by the perception of bad weather. When/if it gets to 4.5, play back on the Jets...I think the game closes just like you said on Monday, Pitt -3.5...
weather??? I think weather is a bit over rated. Tampa bay went into Philly in 2003 for the NFC championship and won. Teams that have good records in cold weather in the past ....simply had good teams. Overall talent wins games over the long run IMO.
LOL tbay not the best example..... Bad weather favors the home team, so says my proprietary database.
