USC/OSU -- surprised by the send out

USC/OSU -- surprised by the send out Full disclosure -- I am an avid OSU fan... the one team that I refuse to bet either way, because emotion does come in (unless I can get a great number!). Anyhow, what was up with the Usc -5 sendout?? Even now at -6, I cannot imagine not pounding the road dogs. All that I can remember from last year's fiasco at SC is that the defenders were in the backfield on EVERY play BEFORE the QB could even hand off. Forget about passing it. I fully expected the O-Line to be improved for OSU this year, but that did not appear to be the case in week one. I hope I am wrong, but I hammered SC -5. I know, Mr.Tressel, that I have sinned, but please forgive me when I bet back at +7.5. ;)
I mean what's an acceptable number here? You gonna make USC a 10 point road fave? I always say that one of my sports betting rules is "Don't EVER bet against USC." I might have to break that this weekend, provided I get 7+
Frosh QB on the road in night game, hostile environment, w/ revenge, etc. I get it, but speed and line domination are clearly in favor of the road fav's here. Personally, except for the hope to grab an extraordinary number on both sides, I think it may be best to sit this one out. I do think though that sheer speed and line domination outrule the frosh QB, revenge, etc angle here.
USC does not lose these early season road games vs nc teams. Navy should have beaten the mighty OS!

I wont bet OSU unless I get 14.5 I'll root for them, but my money is on SC
I think the sendout was fine. People are just looking at the final score of the OSU game too much. They were up 15 and driving with 6 minutes left, but they end up only winning by 4 and people overreacted too much to the final score. +7.5 is the nuts imo.
Just a question What would be the price of Navy against San Jose ? thanks

The O-Line looks no better than LY. This line was at 7 prior to the season -- don't think it has much to do w/ game 1.
Didn't Fezzik play OSU -2 at the Hilton or something over the summer? I don't know where you are seeing USC -7 previously
Original "GOY" line was SC -6.5. I briefly saw it at 7, although it was eventually bet all the way down to 3 at one point. Obviously, the market is quite volatile on these early bets. I doubt the OSU -2 bet.
