The view from Vegas.

The view from Vegas. I know we have quite a few guys here living in Vegas. How bad is it getting, really? I see that there was another 9% decline in revenues, something like the 20th consecutive month. How are the poker rooms? How is the sportsbook action? And most vaguely, what's the feel? What's the mood? Here in SD, the poker has slowed considerably. I feel like I'm left with the choice of commuting to LA again (I did that for 3 years, driving up the 5 to the Commerce every day, playing in that 100% Human Misery Index known as the 40/80 limit hold'em, before NL rose from the grave, obv), or doing what I've sometimes done in the past: getting an apartment in Vegas (are they free now?) and driving up there on weekends. Both options SUCK, IMHO, but are beginning to appear inevitable. Of course, there's online, but I can't fade more than about 2 hours a day sitting in front of a monitor. Something about it depresses/dehumanizes me.
come on over to vegas and bring all your money we need it. Were just finishing up city center and I think we can find you a room. There is about 5000 construction workers that will be out of work when it opens. The terminal three airport job is the only thing going now and 2010 looks scary if your in construction, wish I knew more about the betting world, it is truly what I enjoy
commerce still rocks. being so close, that's prolly ur best bet. lv is slower but opportunity still exits. fortunately, most people don't know where to look
