Week 5 Power Ratings
I would get the Ravens out of the Top spot. Beating up on the Chiefs, Browns, and then the Chargers after their team went to the hospital after the opening night game, should not earn you this kind of respect. The Patriots at Number 2 is another I disagree with. They should have lost to the Bills. The Falcons aren't the same efficient team we saw last year. Got beat up against the Jets. Had the game handed to them by the refs against the Ravens. Patriots are the 7th best team in football. not #2.
Baltimore should have beaten NE AT NE. Those calls were HORRIBLE! I like their defense. They have played two easy teams, and two hard ones (perhaps calling SD hard is a stretch, but all the sharps had them +6 at Pittsburg last week). I like teams that beat the PS. I may have NE overrated, but my power ratings have them a 2 point favorite at Denver (line is NE -3-125). I have NE tied for second with three other teams, and one point better than Pittsburg (without Polamalu), and two points better than Philadelphia and Minnesota. If you think I have NE too high, you must LOVE Denver this week at +3 +1-5 at home!
Pats were in control . Suggs got Balt a defensive TD to turn the tide and what happens? The Pats march down the field to again take control of the game. Baltimore has played a crap schedule. They struggled mightly against the Chargers. The lack of a pass rush will kill them eventually. The finally got an offense but the defense is not what it once was. This is not the best team in the league. But lets wait and see how things develop. The Pats will get better. Brady rounding into form and great coaching.
You did not watch the same game I did. Without those two BS calls, NE scores 14 points less! That fourth down pass at the ten HAS to be caught! NE's "defense" was nowhere close to the receiver. You think I have NE too low, cowboy thinks I have them too high. I may be off, but only by 1 point IMO.

SO yeah I missed those two calls. I like your ratings. Need a few more weeks to get a real handle on these teams.
Baltimore lost again. So did New England. Time for some adjustments. Patriots are not the best and neither is Baltimore. Giants move to the top spot. Pitt is always right there too.

I clearly overrated Baltimore, and underrated Cincinnati (always get them wrong so far). Good to see some dogs cover.
The Giants beat a Dallas team (that is way overrated to begin with) and 4 garbage teams along the way. And, still, they probably deserve a #1 PR. It's not a case of anyone's ability of rating teams; it's more of a case of how bad the NFL is when it comes to coaching ability and the mindset of the talent they utilize, IMO. I just see a huge disparity from the bottom feeders of yesterday as compared to today.
