Welcome to the new NFL, where parity is a mth. What is real is that the rust belt "bad to live in Cities" with no football tradition have crappy football teams. Det. Stl. Clev. Cin. Buffalo. Honorable Mention: KC. Good BBQ........and some nice neighborhoods.
buffalo sucks rocks det was competitive. losing Stafford hurt them stl will get better cincy is decent and will win some games cleveland was horrible, tb not much better it takes a while for bad teams to improve, especially with bad mgmt and bad QBs
Very true. Amazing new orleans fought their way out of the grocery store bag
they got a good coach and a good QB and built around it. some teams have neither (Buf, Cle, Oak, Chi) some teams seem to have half (AZ, SF, Car) some teams its too early to tell (Det, Stl, KC, TB)

fezzik, I take great offense to you calling Detroit a city with no football tradition....our football history is rich...but you have to go 50 years to find it. For a team that has had just 1 playoff win in the past 50 years, I guess the only tradition we have is a losing on. Unfortunately, that blame falls on owner William Clay Ford....he is the only constant during the dark run.
If we go back long enough, France is a military power! .............
Pittsburgh?
At least Pittsburgh has won Super Bowls...so they don't qualify, even tho they are in the rust belt.
But how many more will they win? The theory is Indy is only good because of Manning and will never be that good again. But who is Pittsburgh's Manning? It will be interesting to see what happens with the new CBA or whatever it's called. The NFL as we know it will be different when it comes back with a new labor agreement. Should be a lot of opportunity for betting, as well, because many will see it as the same game, but it simply won't be.
