when 0-3 and 0-4 off a bye week - these teams are v strong historically

when 0-3 and 0-4 off a bye week - these teams are v strong historically next couple of weeks we will have a few of these teams play. I think the system used to be alot stronger , now with rule change does not make it as strong.. seem to remember fezzik talk about it before , anybody know where that thread is ?

I remember a thread talking about teams with winning records/in first place heading into their bye being strong ATS. The later in the season the bye week, the stronger the trend. Week 10 bye teams were over 70% ATS in Week 9 with a winning record.

Obviously Pittsburgh falls into this group at 0-4. They get the Jets who are off a MNF game. Dick Lebeau vs a rookie QB used to be a real recipe for trouble. Have to believe two weeks to prep for Geno should have them fully focused. Heard that the Steelers used a bonus practice (a CBA thing) on Monday so whether they actually have any chance at reviving this season, they are approaching this game as if this is their last gasp.
