Why is there no record keeping on this site?
take the line at its apex and win. Also folllow Fezz. which he mostly catches the line at the apex to win!!!!
I have to echo MikeVegas' comment that it won't be possible for some of us to make use of the plays posted here, as in general it's necessary to be glued to a continuously refreshing computer page since they're posted at varying times. I appreciate Fezz posting the time he'll release his pick tomorrow.
Old School - "If you want to win, get some stale/rogue books." Old School - You've mentioned that you have several locals which are slow and do not move their half time lines. This is of course an ideal situation (assuming they're taking a bet size which suits you). I've enjoyed some weak locals in the past. However, after a certain point they either cut me completely, cut my bet size, go broke and try to stiff, etc. Local books such as you describe will eventually get destroyed, unless they institute some of the above procedures. You are in a fortunate but highly unusual situation. A knowledgeable player is almost guaranteed a profit in such a situation. Curious - You must be beating these locals pretty badly. Why do you feel they tolerate you?
They move their halftime lines. I'm the first to bet, and they layoff and/or change their lines. I bet and then post plays within minutes. I know of no books who don't change their lines, but some move slower than Pinny or Cris. Often locals get all one way action, and move their line in an attempt to get some action on the other side. Most of the steam is on popular favorites, so we are left with some shitty-looking dogs (at great lines).
I consider Pinny the leader and Cris second. Pinny still moves first, and I respect their line the most, but Cris's line is also solid.

I like this reply. Bottom line, the records you should be keeping are your own, which will help you adjust to whom you follow and how (or just stop). Not keeping records in all gambling endeavors is one of the most serious mistakes players make.

Why should record keeping be "required". You don't need to see someone's record to know if they are +EV or not.

I used to have this problem when Dan Gordon was on our site (and please don't let this stimulate a Gordon slamfest). I'd defend his "ambitious" numbers by saying that if you had enough outs and monitored his board religiously, you could get his numbers. And that was true. But it applied to a tiny fraction of those involved. I say keep your own records, because you should analyze based on your own conditions. And if you want to see how well a specific poster is doing, it's not that hard to go back and compile. One more point, as we've stated many times, we are not positioning this board as a "picks service." By the way, I don't mind being challenged on this. I'm fairly firm on it, but am willing to listen.

Oh no. I respect Gordon as a handicapper and think he is a winner, but it's often difficult to get the numbers he likes to put out. I find him beyond unreasonable as a person and cannot have dealings.
