Winning Wednesdays Archive Down

Alan Boston is one of the most entertaining radio guests out there. Strong, well-thought opinions are what make the sports radio and podcast world interesting. So he has lost a little off his fastball, it still makes for great radio. I thought that the late question by Ken Weitzner in yesterday's Winning Wednesday's show was out of line. Don't really care about his personal life or affairs, just his basketball opinions. Just like the personal life of Tiger Woods, who cares? Just enjoy watching him play golf. I have a feeling John Kelly, a good professional interviewer, was taken aback as well. They just lost the best guest they have had. By the way, Fezzik falls into a similar camp, strong, well-voiced opinions. He has his detractors as well, but is also a great interview, and makes any show he is on a must listen.
Fezzik listens to others. Can ANYONE say Boston listens? I have also heard Boston say that he is a miserable person, and I believe that. Fezzik is winning betting. Boston admits he has been losing for years. IMO, Boston's bias toward coaches and teams is destroying his handicapping. Boston admits he gets carried away and overbets (DEADLY!!!). IMO, your edge is very small, especially in sides. I am NEVER surprised by an ATS result. I will never forget the radio show where Boston anf Fezzik debated the NE/Car SB. Fezzik gave great reasons for liking Carolina with the points. Boston just blustered. The most revealing part was when Fezzik tried to get Boston to bet NE on the ML, as it offered more value than the spread. Boston was not interested in listening. I also liked NE, but Fezzik convinced me about the value in the ML. That turned a loser into a winner for me. It also got me to look into Fezzik's gambling site.
I actually said to myself, if anyone in the gambling world believes in Karms, THIS guy is just ASKING for the negative variance in the world to rise up and kick him in the butt.
The issue with the question is simple, WHY then and there. They have had the guy on 3 weeks in a row and JK say's it's the most listen to broadcast when he is on. If he knows nothing about CBB and can't help anyone listening, again why 3 straight weeks. I don't care who he owes, what he eats, or who he bangs, that info won't make me money. Now we hear " He made a dealer cry" and he said " FU to Fez " so lets roast him. The beard, Shrink, was put up to this 2 weeks ago with first question, the problem he has with Fez and now about owing debts. A separate agenda from the point of the show. Do they put him on just to make a jerk out him, if so for what purpose, only for some personal payback ? I don't know Fez or Boston, nor live anywhere near LV. I thought these sites were to learn and become a smarter gambler. Fez has this site. He can say Boston is this or that. I could care less. I mean we are all ADULTS, I think, and know one likes a KNOCKER. Regardless what Boston is or did, was that preventing you from cashing your HILTON Contest check. Move on, move forward, teach us something we did not know yesterday. Boston has no bearing on your life. It seems you need Boston like you need another A-hole. So what's the point.
basically this is fezz and boston butting heads---it's between those two---it's none of my business---i have a hard enough time getting my own self through the day.

There is a difference between having winning handicappers on and having people on that get you the ratings. Fox News Channel didn't add Sarah Palin because she is an intelligent political analyst. Winning Wednesdays' goal is listeners, not winners. They are not in the handicapping business. We are. They are in the broadcast business.
If I owed multiple people huge sums I personally would work hard at paying them back. And not be out bashing people who are actually successful. I guess that's just me.......
I personally would work hard at paying them back. And not be out bashing people who are actually successful. I guess that's just me.......
Exactly! Those who made bets that lost should make regular payments, until the debts are paid off. Yes, I feel the EXACT same way about those "banks" (acting as giant hedge funds) that made bets on exotic derivatives (like bundles of montgages). The moral hazzard involved in bailing out those who lose on bets is huge IMO. No one should be bailed out, and all debts should be paid off. When you excuse someone's debt or bail out a select group, you are making everyone else to pick up the tab. Maybe that's too libertarian, but it's the way I feel.

You owe,you pay, period. My point is knowing that Boston owes money gives me what edge on which game tonight. Maybe race 8 at Gulfstream ? I surrender. Done with this.
Would ANY of you be posting these comments if YOU were the one owed money by Alan Bostom?
Shrink. You are the last one to ask people if they are paying their gambling debts. You once lost a 6 figure sum and negotiated a 50% rebate, giving reasons that included peronal/family issues were involved. *****Fezzik note, I edited this, making it consistent with Boston info.******* I really hope this post does not get deleted since it has real relevance to the thread. Shrink brough it on himself by posting what he did.
