Any plans to speed up this forum?

I have decided to continue and renewed my membership. Is there any plans to speed this forum? It is not bad this morning since it takes 5-10 seconds to open up a thread.

Thanks. I do not think they care. The same holds true for the MRB. At the coupon section, someone posted a news article that it would not be available until Friday, January 6th. We have yet to receive an announcement from LVA staff. Plus, they probably will be mailing it out again by standard bulk rate and it will take forever to reach some of the subscribers. It does not matter to me since my next trip is the latter part of February and we hardly use the coupons.

As far as MRB? I usually plan a quickie trip to their Office, whenever my First Vegas trip of the year is,
and renew it then.......pick up the book at that time too. Kill 2 birds with one stone.
Say hi to the gang too. Usually meet someone new each time.

I too was reluctant to renew because of the slow forums. But I did anyway. Then I finally took Chilcoot's advice to use Mozilla Firefox instead of IE or AOL. It works very well, and most of the time it is almost normal speed. Hasn't timed out yet. I know it's a pain to change browsers just for one board, but ..... try it, you'll like it.

We don't really have time for those of you who do nothing but complain. You act as if you're forced to be here. Believe me, your comments are always taken under consideration and we remedy problems constantly and in a prioritized order, but except for rare occasions like this, I don't see much percentage in responding to you.

What an response. It is a simple question that had been of concern to some membeers. I do not know what gave you the impression that I was forced to be here.

A recommendation I made last year concerned that $3.50 fee. It is a reasonable fee for postage and handling. I had recommended in the past that it does not cost that much more to mail it at the bulk first class rate. Here is what a single piece would cost. Last year’s MRB with a #10 envelope weighed exactly 2.5 ounces. The mailing of the piece would be 84 cent first class (44 cents for 1st oz and 20 cents per additional ounce) I suggested that since first class mail reaches the recipients from 1-5 days from the date of mailing. There would be further discounts per piece if mailed at the bulk first class presorted rate.

Maybe if you would consider recommendations versus taking them as complaints, it may improve customer relations. My 2011 booklet was never used, otherwise I woud take CLV's recommendation. I was just trying to improve distribution.
