On page 294, the fourth line states "We rode the escalator down to the monorail, took the walkway to baggage claim". Is this a typo in word order? It doesn't make sense to me?
Airport use to have a monorail that would take people to baggage claim.
Yes I am aware of the"train" that takes you from the terminals but it leaves from the same level as the gates. He is also referring to something that happened in April 2009.
No, there is an escalator down from the gates to the lobby area from which the monorail (or train; haven't bothered to count the rails) leaves for the terminal and baggage claim. At least there is from the concourse on which we usually arrive.
