Dare I ask how the Upgrade is going?

And honestly, I think the fact that a long term CUSTOMER asked for an update was reason enough to give a civil response.
This may be out of line and if it is I'm sure someone will let me know. There has been a lot of discussion and remarks made about the upgrading of the site to bring it up to speed (no pun intended). How long does it really take to upgrade a site and better yet how long does it take to create a completely brand new site and bring online to replace the older site.....Lots of remarks have been made and no action or really any concrete statements made as to how the problem will be resolved...This post just keeps surfacing every few months and noting seems to improve....this site does load slowly and does need a new look to bring the interest back into it...Along with that a lot of good information and fun times will follow.....
What is it that everyone wants to hear? I've answered several times that work is in progress. We've had four developers try and fail to convert our site. It was coded a long time ago in Cold Fusion and the conversion, with all the data that we need to protect, has not been able to be accomplished by those we've hired. A lot of money and time has been wasted, yet we keep trying. How long does it take? I thought it took about 9 months, but that was 3 years and 9 months ago. I can't come on every time another attempt goes bad and say, "yep, it's still not happening." Rather we keep trying to provide the best experience we can with what we have. Question of the Day is as good as ever. The new Grosjean blog added to Jean Scott and the weekly Bob Dancer column provide some of the best gambling information on the Web. The new LVA Casino is operating and we play tournaments there every day. It's not like nothing is happening. We have detailed comps of what the new site will look like and how it will operate. We fight with it every day and it will get done, but I simply can't tell you when, because I still don't know.
Yes I know you have had more than your share of questions and ask about timetables on the new site. The main thing I think members are finding problems with is the time that it takes to load topics. For many years this was the best site to visit for latest information, great tips, and money saving money ideas and at the same time have a good time communicating with other members about their trips. Well today there has been a lot of sites out there that has drawn members away for the LVA board and older members as myself have slowly lost interest. Not saying your job of upgrading is a simple one but being there in Las Vegas (almost a land ran completely by computers) there almost has to be a company that could solve this problem.

I, for one, am happy with the current format. The only thing that I sometimes find irritating ( other than some of the people posting) is the time it takes to load while navigating the site. Still, I find the site the place to get my Vegas info. I can wait. I also know when the "new" site becomes functional there will still be some who will complain. Some people are never happy.
Yes there will still be some who complain but that holds true for all new things that come on board anywhere....The main complaint I see is the loading on the site but that has been since day one...the format would only bring a new face to the entire page...everyone main concern is and will remain the same being speed tha tit takes to load and not so much how the site appears.....

That is all we were looking for; an update, whether or not there is progress but a general update so we do know that you are continuing to work on the site.

I agree. The speed is the thing that bothers me the most.No problem with the format.
I guess I'm just thinking that if you upgraded the site that a new fresh appearance would fall right into line. It would add a little excitement and a fresh cleaner look. As for now the site is what it is....
