old MRB/POV coupon lists?

Good morning. Are the lists of MRB/POV coupons from previous years available anywhere? I'm curious to see what was offered back 10 or 20 years ago. Thanks!
I'm curious as well to see them. I did do a little checking through the online LVA archive since there are issues of the LVA online going back to 1999 and each January and possibly also February issue offers a little bit of information about the coupons but I'm so far not seeing a list of the actual coupons at least in the earlier issues. When I clicked on the list of coupons for the years of 2000, 2001, and 2002, the link takes me to the 2015 list.

And so I agree that it would be a good idea to reprint a list of the coupons for past years so readers can see where things have gone (what has started or changed) over the years.

This would be a great topic for Question of the Day feature
Here is a post I wrote to the "Questions to the LVA Staff" Forum on 1/9/2010 that lists coupons of 1995. Actually some pretty good ones, just not as many as today.

I did a SEARCH to locate it but I couldn't figure how to post the link you could open, so I copied my post with the list of coupons received from the 1995 LVA "Subscriber Benefit Package." Others responded with what they recalled in more recent years. Maybe somebody else can post the link. Go to Search (above right), select the Questions to LVA Staff from the drop down list, and enter "o2bnVegas" in the "Author" text box. Don't bother with dates or key words or anything else. Just click SEARCH.

Right now I can't remember where I put the envelope, so I'm glad I posted this. Didn't get a response from LVA, so I suppose it didn't impress!

Here is the post listing LVA coupons of 1995:

Are the coupons still good? JUST KIDDING

I was cleaning my desk at work and found a fully intact 1995 Las Vegas Advisor Subscriber Benefit Package, still in the envelope, in mint condition. Looks like it was hand stapled together. Metered postage 00.32.

Mailed from 5280 S. Valley View Blvd.

It was like a nostalgic moment.

WOW! What a difference 20 years has had. How can anyone not appreciate the coupon books now. Thanks for posting the info.
Thanks, Candy, this is pretty cool. And yes, the coupons have come a long way, the 1995 edition had some good stuff ($15 FP at Four Queens is probably worth about $12,000 in 2015 dollars) but only five casinos were participating.

Catzdogs, you're right, it would be a cool QoD, I'll submit it. Thanks!
So true, Jon. The coupon value was quite good 20 years ago.
As you noted, 15 coupons, 5 casinos, 4 off-Strip to 1 Strip casino (Riviera) participating.
132 this year. Wow!

I remember LVA staff relating the struggle to get deals/coupons.

I think Rio came in fairly early on, perhaps before they came under Harrah's. And Harrah's came on fairly early, and has pretty much had something every year.

Palms came on board with the 50% off of almost anything, more years back than I can remember. The all time best coupon, many would agree.

Deals came and went each year for various reasons, still do. If memory serves, some were not renewed due to issues with users (members) taking advantage (duplicating) or complaining when things didn't go as expected.

I can say that if the only job on earth available to me was to solicit for deals/coupons every year, I would have to go hungry. Imagine how many phone calls and letters it takes to get to the decision maker, how many times they say "call me back in a month", etc., to get something nailed down...waiting, waiting.

I am amazed we actually have coupons from MGM properties (Mandalay Bay, Luxor) and and the Cosmo! I recall when the major Strip properties (except Harrah's and of course the Riviera) pretty much thumbed their noses at LVA. Competition is good. And all those deals at the V-Theater. Decent, cheap entertainment, some better than others, but a great escape from gambling.
