Search Function

I don't know if it's my computer or the website but the search function appears not to be working. I've tried it for a few days and I keep getting a message that says "Error 109." Is there a site issue?

I just tried the search feature and got the same message.Must be the system.

Yes, there's a problem with search that we're looking at today. If there's an easy fix, we'll implement it. If it's more complicated, we may go without until the new message boards are live.

I've tried to search a couple times in recent days and saw the same error. Tried searching one board, all boards, same result. I assume you decided not to fix this?

(not complaining, just wanted to confirm that it's not a problem on my end)

In the other thread Jessica said this yesterday:

"we are currently trying to fix the "Search" function, which got damaged when we experienced that complete server meltdown last year. In order to fix it, we have to re-index anything, and that activity was slowing down the SQL server and causing the forums to time out. So, we have suspended the indexing for now; we'll start it up again around 11 p.m. and have it run through the night."

We tried a fix and it didn't work. Now it's apparent that it's much more involved than we thought, so we'll likely ride without it till the new boards go up.

The last posted reply to this question was over a year ago and still no working search function. Do we have any time frame what-so-ever as to when the "new boards" will go live?

I think that you can get the Search Function to work if you know who the author was of the post.
