So how does someone get a person banned from LVA

In our opinion, one of the most evil posts was done by marcisdave on the day of the Arizona shooting a little over 3 weeks ago, but would never ask that he (or she) be banned. I believe there is a way to put people on ignore if they are a bother.

Blackjesus, tomdoug and the Santa icon twit.....not one beneficial post amongst the cast of them.

Dropping these guys is more a benefit to LVA than to us....can you imagine what a potential subscriber thinks when they sign on to the FFA to get a feel for the site and its members and ultimately come across these trolls?

Disagreement on a public message board is part of life....social misfits who lack civility are another matter all together. No one will shed a tear to see all of these gone. To be honest, there are people who have been banned in the past for doing so much less.

There's a difference between members who normally contribute useful posts to the discussion who say something offensive or insensitive on rare occasion, versus members whose sole purpose for being on the board is to be offensive or cause trouble (ie. a troll).

(For the record, I didn't see the post in question nor am I really familiar with marcisdave, but based on your description (s)he doesn't fall into the latter category, whereas posters like blackjesus, ajs5251961, and tomdoug do.)

Dale, this thread will demonstrate why blackjesus and tomdoug should be banned. And, you might want to consider deleting the thread, as well.

I've been a member since near the beginning of LVA and read the paid fourms daily since their inception.
I have rarely visited the free side. Due to this thread I decided to take a look.

There are a lot of mean nasty people over there!

Thanks folks - I have addressed this issue, hopefully it will settle down now.
