Some MRB Questions

My membership is due in July every year, I pay and request mail service, I usually get it about the 24th of Jan. That being said, I have a trip now booked for Jan 24th and undoubtly will not have said book in hand. If back in July I knew that I would be in Vegas on Jan 24th, I would have never renewed at that time.

I called again yesterday about my MRB. It appears the mailing service does not send them all out the same day, and if I do not receive it by end of next week to call again. They will arrange the book to be delivered to our hotel's front desk. That may be a good option for you since you are not renting a car.

Didn't think they'd do that. I may call and ask.

Again wouldn't it make more sense to ship the book via first class USPS and then people would have books on time. Plus saves LVA from driving around town delivering books to hotels! The cheap comes expensive.

I'm not counting on their staff driving around and delivering MRBs to hotels; I'll call and ask (and we'll see if any staffers answer this thread and address that possibility), but I'm not holding my breath.

Sure it would make sense to do a better job with shipping. Not the first year that this has been mentioned.

I did contact the LVA office and was told that if I HAD not received my book by the time of my trip (early Feb), that they will deliver it to my hotel. I would think that their normal policy is not to delivery the books to the hotel, but I did pay for shipping and did order in December so it is good customer service to do so. However, I prefer to have it in my hand before my trip, so I am soooo hopeful it will come in the next few days.

I think you might have better odds on 6/5 blackjack then getting the book on time.

The only question I have about the MRB is: Where is mine?

Still no MRB, leaving Wednesday. I'll call the LVA office tomorrow if I don't get it, and will ask about having it delivered to the hotel. I'll post whatever response I get. Hoping that they're monitoring this thread and will answer here.

I just called the LVA office again and spoke with the same rude person. She asked me why I needed the book if I am not going to Vegas until March. I told her people paid $3.50 for the book and expect it delivered in a timely manner. I asked if we should all wait until Jan 1st to renew so we will have the book delivered sooner and she said that "is our choice".
