Underlining

I AM using an HP laptop....didn't think of that angle.
It's not limited to HP products. I'm using an ACER desktop computer and I have everything underlined too.

Mine is kind of an orange-y color.

What's even weirder is that the posts that I can see while I'm in the "message text" window are not underlined.

It's been like this for a long time. I'm used to it so I just ignore it now.

Cheers,
Deanna

Oh, no, now me! Just installed a new computer (old one was dying) and now I have that underlining.
I can take the underlining, but now have the worst slowness and jerkiness trying to post EVER.
I'm still trying to figure out this new one. What is the worst (or best) web browser to use? Thanks.

Update:

Husband got the new computer tweaked up, stuff installed, etc.

NOW, everything on LVA is moving quite fast! Yea!

Except the underlining is still there. I can take it.

Of note, this is an HP computer, Windows 7.
So, is the underlining an HP problem?

Another update: You can try this.
I went to Tools (above on the PC toolbar).
See "Compatibility View Settings"
Click "Change Compatibility View Setting"
A small text box contained lasvegasadvisor.com showed with an ADD button next to it.
I clicked the ADD button.
lasvegasadvisor.com opened in a bigger text box containing sites that I approved this "Compatibility View." I have no idea what this means.

BUT, Underlines disappeared!

WARNING though. As mentioned, once we got the new PC settings tweaked, LVA pages were all opening very fast. First time in years.

After this "Compatibility View" action, while the underlines disappeared, some pages are now again slow loading. Some open fast, some not as fast, some really slow like before.

I'm going to wait and see. I may "REMOVE" lasvegasadvisor.com from the Compatibility View if page loading remains slow. Just too painful.

I have an ACER desktop I bought for a screaming deal of $299 with the grand opening of a Microsoft store in my community and I have no issues with underlining. So that's not the common denominator.

But oddly Sue Casey's font turns up as Mandarin on my screen.

Update: I disabled the Compatibility View. Couldn't live with the slow page loading. Not all, but enough to drive me back to crazy.

Of course, the underlines are back. I have no idea about the connection between Compatibility View, underlines/no underlines, and fast/slow page loading.

Anyway, glad to have pages loading fast again.
