What kind of link do we use for our avatars?

My profile picture isn't displaying. I think it is because the system went back to an old photo share site that doesn't have it anymore. I just need to know whether this site uses HTML code, IMG code or a direct link.

I use photobucket.com it's free and easy to use

I'm pretty sure on photobucket, you copy and paste the second link for all photos including avatars.

If the avatar is on the web (tinypic, photobucket, etc.), the easiest way is to enter its web address as a direct link in the box labeled “External Icon“ on your profile page.

Make sure the box labeled “Select the author icon you wish to use” is blank (first choice on drop-down menu). Also make sure the box labeled “Upload your own author icon” is blank.

Click “Update Profile” on the bottom of the page, and you should be in business.

Well, there I am. The direct link did the trick. And it is the second option on the list
