WHY?

Don't mean to stir up a hornet's nest here. But I have a question, especially since some people might like traveling to Vegas over New Years or whatever. And sorry if this has been touched on before. Don't want to sound like a broken record. I have bought the MRB for many years, but may not buy it anymore, especially since we're considering possibly doing New Year's Eve in Vegas in 2012-13. But here goes. If you buy a 2012 calendar in February, you will get it at a big discount. I know it's a little different. I know the crew is working hard up to the last minute trying to get the best package together possible. But it just doesn't make sense the way it's done. The cutoff date should be November 30, and everybody should have their book before 2012. Period. That is just the way it should be done.
I prefer it the way it is. I always go Easter, Summer, Christmas and sometimes a couple of trips in-between. Jan to Dec seems the most logical way to me.
Also, you can pick up a new one from the office the first business day in January if you stay over New Year. Most aren't valid on holiday dates so you probably couldn't use them New Years Eve/New Years Day anyway.

Just my opinion - It will be interesting to see what the majority prefer

If the book is available at the office by early January, that's all that's necessary. It's not that much trouble just picking it up there. I may have been under the mistaken impression that the book wasn't ready and couldn't be used before mid to late January, as I have never needed it early in the year before.
