Archived Topics?

Are they there just for reference or can a post be made to them?

I always tried to see if anyone wanted to participate in a Member Meet but it seems impossible now unless I tag another already listed topic with it.

I met a lot of ineresting people at meets in the past and they were fun.  I would love to see some way to at least see if anyone can generate some interest again in the future.
