Big Mistake

Not a fan of the google ads and popups
This morning I woke to take my morning walk in my comfortable old shoes and found that they had been replaced by new tight squeaky fashion shoes and I'm grumpy. I'm not going to be someone who is against change and will learn my away around. However my experience must include lively forums. I know they are way off from the pre-recession golden years but they are dear to me.
And replace my name with my pen name, I am Rockymet
I am still trying to find the forums. Had several that I was following.

Anthony, I don't think you need as many sections in the forum as there was on the old site. I think you should at least have the 4 major sections. Gambling, Hotel, Entertainment, and Dinning. That will make it easier for people to find what they are looking for instead of having just one huge forum with everything.
I can't see the newsletters, but I get this pop-up... "Windows 10 Driver Optimizer." Is it legit? Windows 10 Driver Optimizer
Anthony- Sir, I have had a few days to peruse your new format for your site. Almost all of the great info that we subscribers were used to finding are here - when one figures where to look. I, like many others became used to the EASE associate with your previous site when seeking info about Vegas. Over the years I have purchased many books and products from the LVA and have RELIED on the individual topics listings when planing trips.I understand the need to be able to fund your business and website. Hopefully this new format will allow you to do so. But, and there seems to always be a but, your removal and apparent ill-at-ease to expand the forums into individual topics is and will be a problem. The topics such as ,1) downtown, 2)gambling, 3)transportation, 4)trip reports, 5)etc. now being missing is a BIG concern. Why can't the forums be individualized once again? This combining of topic into general groups makes any search for specific/current info difficult, at best. Overlooking and refusing to address the importance of having different forum topics and now grouping them into 3 areas is and will be a MAJOR drawback to me and many other subscribers - please take note and do the right thing.
Another long time subscriber seriously disappointed with this new site. LVA staes "after 5 years of development" it's finally here! all I can say is WOW, 5 years to develop a comlete mess of a wbsite that looks like it's straight from the 1990's (as someone else already mentioned). Lousy navigation, graphics, names and email addresses showing on the messages. (good luck even finding your way to the crappy message board). The boards were the best part of the entire LVA site, and they managed to blow it up. Fortunately for me, my subscription expires today 3/24. I'm not renewing. Should have left everything the way it was. This is awful.
David, all is being taken under consideration. There's no percentage in our doing something that's not in the best interests of all involved. Of course, best interests for all can never be best for every individual. We balance best we can. If we can stabilize these boards from the tech and management standpoint, there would certainly be no opposition to opening more categories.
Anthony, I appreciate your taking the time to respond. After reading the responses here concerning the forums, I know you are not having a fun time. I believe you now see the importance of the forums to many of us and possibly that importance was not given the value/attention it should have been given. I have hopes that a "balance" can be achieved.
