So if I am so bad. How did I ever become a Regested Nurse? I suppose I don't pay attention on forum. Suppose to be fun.I am retired 14 years. I often wonder why so few use this forum?

Hi Patricia.  Probably because you, like me, practiced Nursing when we documented using ink pens, no computers early on.  Day shift, you used blue ink.  Evening shift, green ink.  Night shift, red ink.  It had its benefits.  Doctors knew if they wanted to read what happened on the night tour they just looked for our red scrawling.  Learning the Electronic Record was a big leap for most (doctors hated it), especially at first.  I took real well to typing in high school, so it is easy for me, but not everyone took typing.  Now the kids do not learn cursive writing, believe it or not.  They just text everything.  I still make typos, like everyone else.  I try to proofread befor hitting the "Enter" button, but proofreading isn't fail safe, as we are all still human with human frailties.

The computer system has plus and minus.Most my career in Emergency Room. When critical one nurse had to stand at the computer.Not great when short staffed.
