Breaking the slot code again

Dear LVA, When you said it wouldn't be ready in time for Christmas, I thought you meant Christmas 2024. I'm not renewing my membership until I recieve the book I paid for almost a year ago. How can you possibly justify this long of a delay?

I agree with MinM, it was originally planned for a Christma gift last year.  Hopefully maybe for this year!!!

But I'm not holding my breath.

What did Huntington Press say when you called and asked for a refund? Or was the thrill of attacking our hosts here too tempting to pass up?

At every opportunity, HP has exceeded my expectations as a customer. Obviously this book hasn't gotten out the door as they hoped. As in all businesses, it happens.

No need to shame them like this.

Right, we totally misjudged this one. In such cases, there are two choices, put out a subpar product or delay till it's ready, and the first isn't an option for us. I apologize to all for this, but your access to a complete and instant refund is always there, so I can't agree that you should feel that agrieved. Honestly, we have to get All About Sports Betting out first, and it's close. Then we're full steam on Slot Code. That's the reality, so act accordingly. Dan, thanks for wading into hostile waters for the back-up.

Everything said here is understandable, no one wants an inferior product. Having the option to receive a full refund, while OK,  still does no change the fact that the book has not been produced in the expected timely  manner.  Updates as to the delayed delivery may have been given in the past - though I don't remember seeing any - but it still does not change the fact that the prepaid  book has not been produced and delivered. People who have prepaid for the book do have a justifiable grievance. By the way, no one "attacked" anyone as Dan stated. No one wants to pay for something that they do not receive.

No. If you're disatisfied, you cancel your order and get a refund. Otherwise, you're willing to go with it the way it is. Easy decision. No middle ground.

Here is a suggestion that I believe all involved would find acceptable. If in the future, if the delivery date of a pre paid item which you offer should be delayed, one could e-mail those who have prepaid for the item and let them know the new projected deliery date and give them the option to receive a refund if they find the new delivery date as being unsatisfactory.

Whatever solution or policy is used, it will be up to LVA--not you.

Emailing the hundreds of people who have ordered the book would take a fair amount of time and effort.

Everyone knows when an expected date has passed and at that point they can make their decision. Seems obvious.

I think part of the issue some have is that in June you stated that it would be finished in July for an August release. Also you had stated before that it would be the next book out and it would come before "All About Sports Betting". Then it seems you switched the focus to "All About Sports Betting".

Your response of either wait or get a refund is certainly reasonable but so are people's frustrations. People feel like they are being strung along and that the reasons for delay are not transparent.

I will continue to wait and in the meantime I ordered a couple other books including "Advantaged Players" to help tide me over.

My Hope is that this has caused you to reevaluate the way you launch presales in the future.
