Circa

Looking forward to a description of Circa in the upcoming Newletter by Anthony!  Room Rates, Table Minimums, the Sportsbook and odds compared to other Casino's, the Ambience?

The blurbs in "Las Vegas News" seem like they're quite enthralled at the prospect, so I think we'll get a pretty detailed report--but it might not make it into the newsletter. It might be a feature story on the LVA home page instead.

What I want to know, and I hope they'll tell us, is whether the prices are outrageous or merely high, and whether the gambling is horrible or merely lousy. The brief narrative about the opening posted today sounds like a nightmare scenario, with all those people smooshed together, and probably very lax mask-wearing enforcement and no social distancing. Yeah, I still worry about those things, and while casinos are fun, they're not worth dying for IMHO.

The Newsletter gave a pretty good description of the Circa.  Did anyone hear what the table minimums are?  I always enjoy Pai-Gow and Craps any word on those minimums?  Thanks!

I can't give you a blow-by-blow description but from what I've heard, they're very high---center-Strip levels. Lots of $25 and up and very few lower than $25. I've also heard that the $15/$10 games have even lousier rules. What I haven't heard for certain is how many of their BJ games are 6:5. I believe they're offering mostly 3:2 games that are otherwise fairly lousy (eight decks, poor penetration, and hit soft 17). They do let you double after splitting. The high-limit games are stand on soft 17.

Circa is evidently fancying itself a Strip resort, with prices to match.

We plan on playing and drinking there on monday  Could be A GOLD MINE   !

Might there be offers in next years POV?

It will be interesting to see how player friendly and affordable it is now....and then compare that to 6 months from now.

When the Wynn the first opened they wouldn't even let you get a real players club card until you dumped 300 dollars in with a "temp-players-card"....and when the SLS opened up  they were trying to charge $250/night for room.    Cromwell tried the same.    None of that lasted very long.

I'm skeptical downtown will become a big draw for high-limit players and stayers but maybe not.  We'll have a pretty good idea by SUmmer.

Maybe the Circa table minimums will go down during the dead time just B-4 Christmas.

Cheap rooms all over but will the table games go down to 10 bucks?

There are much better BJ games elsewhere.

VP free tells me where to play video poker.

El Cortez and the Cal sees me at the BJ tables most often.

ALL of our forum members will see the Circa, but they may not play there.

I want to see the Garage Mahal, anyway!

Circa was fun.  Video poker lining the sports book with awesome views, as well as the huge new long bar.  Pay tables were about the same at the Golden gate and D.  The table limits were very high  25 plus.    Music was pretty loud, lots of slots.  Very well done

If the music is loud at the Circa and the D,  bringing ear plugs to Downtown is starting to make sense.
