We make more these days. The other side of that coin is also true: we pay more.
I don't know people's ages here. But older people overvalue the present value of money.
That kind of thinking makes it easy for the casinos to rip people off. "Oh, it's only..." fee, surcharge, upcharge, increase, used to be free but now costs $$, blah blah blah...and at some point, the accumulated extra spend is considerably more than a "rounding error."
But aside from the fact that 24 hours of Vegas parking costs more like $20+, I'm not going to pay some corporation money to go to their business location and...spend money. Parking should be free for customers, in ANY context.
