coupons for free parking

Would casinos like the Strat consider free parking coupons for the LVA coupon book ?  We could exchange the coupon for a parking pass at the cage.  This might add value to the book and not cost the casino anything.  I know I will probably never go to a casino which i have to pay to park at.  And casinos won't get a repeat customer if they can't get them in the door the 1st time

A tip for Strat parking. If you have a Nevada license OR Nevada car tags, parking is free.

Question, if I have a rental car with Nevada Tags, is parking free even though I am not a Nevada resident?

Yes, it worked for me and states this on their website:

Do you offer free parking? Parking is free with a valid Nevada state ID and/or license plate.

It won't link properly here, but if you look under their FAQs for free parking, it is there.

Thanks for the info - I will be looking to get a rental car that has Nevada tags when I rent a car in Vegas in the future.

Thanks for the info.  I wonder how that works for some of the other properties.  Are they all based on the plates ?

A free parking coupon costs the casino the opportunity to collect one parking fee from an interested visitor.

$8 for 24 hours of weekend parking should be a rounding error for the typical Vegas visitor.

We make more these days. The other side of that coin is also true: we pay more.

I don't know people's ages here. But older people overvalue the present value of money.

That kind of thinking makes it easy for the casinos to rip people off. "Oh, it's only..." fee, surcharge, upcharge, increase, used to be free but now costs $$, blah blah blah...and at some point, the accumulated extra spend is considerably more than a "rounding error."

But aside from the fact that 24 hours of Vegas parking costs more like $20+, I'm not going to pay some corporation money to go to their business location and...spend money. Parking should be free for customers, in ANY context.

This thread is about the Strat.

At the Strat, according to HP, the highest self-parking charge is $8 (eight dollars US) for 24 hours of parking on the weekend for non-guests.

Self Parking: Free for True Rewards members Solid or higher; Free for NV residents and hotel guests; Non-guests: Mon-Thurs: 0-4 hours, $6; 4-24 hours, $12; Fri-Sun: 0-4 hours, $8; 4-24 hours, $15 Valet Parking: Mon-Thurs: $18; Fri-Sun: $20
