Today I got an email ostensibly from LVA inviting me to applyfor a credit card offer. I'm reluctant to click on links in emails I'm not expecting, and the graphics are a bit amateurish. Can you confirm that this came from LVA?

I recieved the same offer - wondering also if real...
Yes. We're partnering with the people from TravelZork, who put on the points-and-miles conference, ZorkFest. They're experts in this and have analyzed the offer and endorse it. We've subsequently gotten confirmation from other CC experts that it's a good offer. We think it fits with what we do, so agreed to send out the information. LVA will receive a commission on sales. Whether or not if it's for you, it's safe to open and consider.
