Go back to old site!!

How do you get to the archived forums? For example, where are the Trip Reports?
The have not been archived at this point, but a few were posted to Vegas with and Edge during the beta phase. Here is a link: https://vegaswithanedge.com/category/lva-reader-trip-reports/
What everyone here fails to understand is that the message boards are only a small part of LVA. OK, it's the part that you like best, but very small in the whole picture. We have thousands of customers who never come here. That's why we considered opening without. But we changed our minds and kept this presence. We couldn't use the old format in this environment, and went with the format that comes with this coding scheme. It can be improved over time if you want it to be. Or, if everyone leaves, it will phase itself out. Bottom line is it's up to you if you want to make it work here and in this format. If yes, soon enough we'll add the additional categories, proper moderation, advanced sorting features, etc., but it won't go back to the way it was in look, slow speed, political ranting, or any of the things that everyone is complaining about no longer having.
Well, I think the new site is a step backwards as far as user friendliness, accessibility and speed. Virtually unusable on my iPad, popups all over the place prevent proper viewing. Difficult to find what you want. What used to be visible all from one page must now be searched for and tunnelled down to find. I suspect you are increasing revenue through adsense and other avenues. BTW, I dont give a shit about the forums. Lots more people would complain but there is no obvious way to feedback except through the forums. Ive been a paying subscriber for many years and get the printed LVA. Will probably renew for that alone and the coupon book but wont spend much more time trying to negotiate your new site. Good luck on trying to monetize it. There is a reason why craigslist is as successful as it is, just saying...

Anthony, as you have acknowledged, the forums are one of the things I liked the best. Current, ever informative information was and is something I looked forward to when planning my trips.I, for one, want this site to be improved and more user friendly.
Mr. Curtis, It’s your site and you can do with it whatever you like! That said to remove all of the previous forums and posts that the members of your site put a lot of time and effort into and drove a TON of traffic to YOUR site is a slap in the face to every member who took the time to do so! I just don’t see what harm the old forums/posts were doing. I can only guess the cost of migrating the old forums and posts to the new “improved” site was cost prohibitive…
Not cost prohibitive. Just not feasible in our launch schedule. As I've stated, we intend to remedy that.
I think it's kind of a nice fresh start. I was rarely going to the old site because I am so tired of politics. My one frustration is that I am unable to reply to some threads. It says I need to log in, which I do, and still no way to reply.
I agree you're IT people should have known its not user friendly. I hated the political diatribe but this is not a remedy but an ugly end to a great discussion forum..
I can only say this so many times. There was very little work done on these message boards. We decided to keep them at the last minute and went with an off-the-shelf solution that works with this environment. There will be changes made, but not immediately due to other work that takes priority.
