I read and saw the youtube discussing the history of the LVA. I thought it would be fun to read the first issue. Why don't you at least post photos of the pages, in a good enough resolution for us to read, so that we can read it!

I see the LVA first issue up today on the site! Nice to see. Would I be correct in assuming my post lead to this republishing? If so, it would have been nice to have this acknowledged in today's blub about the issue being made available, on the news page, even if it was only, "after a longtime reader suggested this, we decided to upload our first LVA issue on the site".
29 pages! Amazing! More like a guide than a newsletter!
My favorite line in the issue is about how nearly everyone can find 49c somewhere to pay for some of these deals!
The elegant dining list, with no entree costing more than $15 is stunning!
The shrimp cocktail comparison, with weights, is also a great read!
I was floored by that first newsletter. There were so many things that brought back memories. 39 years does not seem all that long ago. The listing of table games by casino was interesting. The list of (4) places to play penny slots was funny. Those penny machines actually took pennies, and it didn't take 30 of them for one spin. Do you think in 39 more years, people will look back at the 2020s and call those "the good old days"?
A blast from the past. Really enjoy the first issue and also the one ten years later in 1994. I like that $2 steak with all the extras. I was able to use the deal at Goldcoast for the t-bone and all extras many times.

Then the "bean counters" and corporations took over and we have what we have today.
I loved the original Advisor lettet!
Food prices were shocking, with lots of card counting aid and BJ help throughout the issue.
