How do I PM someone who has posted on the forum(s)?

Can't believe I've never asked or done this, but I don't see any instructions anywhere.

They took the PM feature away when they changed the forum.

Ah. Usually when I can't find something on a website, it's because I'm too dumb to figure it out. Not this time, I guess.

You might just want to ask for contact details in a thread you know they are active in.

Yeah, but how would they get them to me without compromising their own privacy?

Back when I had my LVA blog, like an idiot, I provided my contact details to someone who pretended to want to exchange AP info privately. My email inbox was immedaitely flooded with spam and my computer was attacked by spyware and ransomware. That person is still an LVA member and an extremely prolific poster on the Kitchen Sink forum. It's a mistake I won't make again.

If they had the PM feature like before, you and others could use PMs to throw mud at/about each other instead of clogging up Kitchen Sink with lengthy battles.  Then we might have a real Kitchen Sink with polite conversation about this and that.

Wouldn't work. The people who start fifteen threads a day in the Sink complaining about something or the other (not naming any names) aren't the slightest bit interested in conversation, and certainly not polite conversation. They want attention. PM-ing wouldn't draw any.

I enjoy discussions with the rational posters in the Sink. But we have one guy who only wants to scream at everyone and calls them liars and traitors, another who complains about Biden (and his son's imaginary radioactive laptop), six times a day, and another who tells everyone tales about his imaginary friends  All of these folks are racists and bigots. So any hope of having a pleasant conversation with them or their kind is futile.

But as I said, there are others with which I regularly have pleasant and interesting discussions. 

Then there is you, a Mr. Know it all. Its always your way or the highway, wich ruins posts. People are tired of all the BS posted. But you are always right. Go ahead and start your rants,
