David, There should be a X in the upper right corner to close the ad.
Correct - there is an "x" - but I want to eliminate that pop up permanently. I am sick and tired of having to remove that unwelcome ad every time I move within the Advisor to a different page. Isn't there some way to remove that annoying ad forever? If there isn't, there should be.
The ads create revenue for LVA and are deliberately designed to be as in-your-face, as in, annoying, as possible. It's like someone grabbing you by the shirt to try to sell you something.
The click-the-x "solution" works for about five seconds--then another ad pops up. They're deliberately designed so that you can't get rid of them.
It's gotten worse lately, though. Now the audio associated with the goddamn ad videos starts up, at maximum volume and overriding your phone's settings. That's horrible.
I've had a long-standing policy of resolving to NEVER buy any product advertised in this way, even if it's something I might otherwise be interested in. So for me, at least, their shove-it-in-your-face tactic backfires. I suspect I'm not alone.
I've become programmed to automatically aim for the x; I don't even think about it anymore. Seems a shame, though, no idea what product is being advertised. Kind of like some of those really clever TV commercials. We laugh about them ("Have you seen the one...?), then invariably somebody asks "What is it they are advertising?" Mostly nobody can say.
But if those bring revenue to LVA I can live with it.

I use an ad blocker on my laptop and desktop computers and never see any pop-up ads on the LVA pages.

I have tried several ad blocker online apps- to no avail. Which ad blocker works to disable these annoying pop ups here on the Advisor webpages?

AdBlock is a free Chrome extension. I've been using it for years on my PC's. I hope this link will take you to it:
