Its not just you. Plenty of competition from other Vegas message boards.
agree-----question is----what can be done to increase postings?
Only a poster's 'name' and a few words of that poster's topic is displayed on the main Forums page, as if that is the only posting that "lives" in that particular board. Clicking on that name reveals only that post and subsequent replies. This is OK, but doesn't show posts of other topics, which can be viewed if the reader clicks on the Forum topic on the main page, such as "Gambling." Might be one contributing reason. Maybe some readers don't know to click on the topic heading, e.g. "Dining" to see all the postings on that topic. That might generate more activity.
I think this is particularly relevant to "Trip Reports." One only 'sees' the last name of the last person who commented on someone's TR, and not even the originator of the TR. Now, if one looks to the tiny print to the left of the page one can see who originated the TR. But perhaps not everyone knows to look to the left. I admit to losing interest in looking for TRs for this reason. I pledge to do better!

Don will try other boards. It seems like all the advertismant that is filling the topics are just to much trouble to sort through. I;m tired of sorting through Supplements--and other health issues to read about Las Vegas here. It seems it would be a benefit to other readers just to set a new set of rules. It seems like it has gone overboard on some issues not pertaining to Las Vegas.....we Vist LV 6 times a year since 2001 and there use to be a set of guidelines as to new--some not so new dinning experiences--shows---attractions...
Not just you Tom...getting sick of people posting for supplements.....think obvious solution for management...ban it....post one and your "blocked"....make a standard "penalty" maybe ...no diff from being abusive or foul language etc...on site.

Other boards Vegas Fanatics, your correct lvritz she ain t, been a long time member and will continue to be but Las Vegas Advisor does not seem interested in us as members as in prior years. If so have a seminar where we members pay a fee $$$ and the talented LVA Staff put on a 1 day Seminar in Vegas , so we can share your knowledge. Thanks Bobby Smithville, Texas
