Letting the hate leak outside the Sink

Both David Miller and Jerry Ice have posted numerous personal attacks against me outside the Sink. Miller has made numerous posts without any purpose other than to gratuitously contradict or attack what I've said.

While relations within the Sink are often openly hostile, I've kept my hostility inside the Sink, which is where the rules say it belongs. I'm not asking for any kind of disciplinary action against these two; any decision to be made is LVA's, not mine.

The reason I mention this is that David Miller's personal attacks have ruined many discussions and derailed many threads, and I suggest you evaluate whether he should be allowed to continue doing that. He does carefully couch his language--usually--so that he can claim that he wasn't making a personal attack. But personal attacks are what they are.

I would prefer that he allowed civil discussions outside the Sink to continue rather than causing every topic to devolve into a hate attack against me. His continuing hatred and expression thereof has destroyed dozens of formerly interesting and engaging topics.

Lewis has made numerous posts without any purpose other than to attack what they have said. Relations within the Sink have become increasingly hostile, and Lewis has not kept his hostility inside the Sink - which is where the rules say it belongs. I am personally asking for disciplinary action to be taken in accordance to the rules. The reason I say this is that Kevin Lewis's personal inflamatory attacks have ruined many discussions and derailed many threads, and he should be evaluated whether he should be allowed to continue doing that. He does couch his language so that he can claim that he wasn't making a personal attack, but personal attacks are what they are. Those of us that he has attacked would prefer that he not be allowed to post these personal attacks outside the Sink, because when he does, every topic devolves into a hateful, filth laden diatribe. His continuing attacks have destroyed dozens of formerly interesting and engaging topics.- I do realize that some would call this post as being childish - but I am not going to take any more of his hateful, foul abuse any longer, and none of the others he has derided should be expected to accept his crude behavior. If my post here is deemed to be worthy of me being barred, so be it. I have had enough of his attacks, filth and insults

You two are not doing yourselves any favors.

This is none of my business, ultimately. Yet, I'd suggest the warring factions just summon some sort of strength for agreeing to disagree on disparate opinions ( you'll never agree on general policies)..avoid interpersonal insults / labelings..and move on. That approach will require some obvious give and take from all sides. Your feuding is reminiscent of that exhibited by John Adams and Thomas Jefferson (OK..that's a  corny stretch of comparative analogies, admittedly)..they didn't get along yet they accomplished something with their individual contributions in the end. Both sides can and have made useful info and contributions here due to their personal Vegas experiences. Disagreement is fine..necessary..universal, even..but  this feud has devolved into some sort of pathology that's cancerous/ unhealthy for the direct participants and the surrounding periphery. Maybe give it a try? Or not.

I've tried that numerous times with David, and he's even agreed to a "truce" a couple of times--and he never sticks to it; after a couple of days, he's always back to his old self. That's because his primary, if not sole purpose for being here--and perhaps for living--is to rant, moan, bitch, gripe, scream, complain, and bloviate about all the horrible things being done to his world by those awful people who don't think like him. He eagerly waits for any kind of disagreement, then pounces on whomever expresses it and calls them a liar liar liar liar liar.

So the peaceful situation you suggest would contradict his very raison d'etre.

Everything Lewis states here is a lie, if reality, this post describes him - which is easily verifiable by reading any number of his past postings here, in and in the Sink. I will let them speak to the truth

Okie-dokie. I'm unaware of the long-game history here, Kevin and David. I can see that my attempt as a semi-meddling  voice of reason or mediation was futile, it appears. I should have assumed so and pre-empted myself *l*.

The other aspect that I didn't directly comment on in the earlier post is the inherent human appeal of a good fight / argument in a generally 'safe' and and at least partially anonymous online environment here by  some portion of  additional but  more indirect participants. Some others just apparently enjoy the constant conflict...from varying distances..just for the sake of the fight. Natural human involvement for a segment of this forum population, I guess. And you know what, that's none of my business either. Carry on.

  Charles I do appreciate your thoughtful attempt. I only ask, if you care to delve any further into this mess, that you take the time to read postings and responses by both myself and Lewis, and then make up your mind by what you read. If you really want to get an eyefull, go to the Sink and read what has been said and by whom.
