I get a kick out of the Sally author and others. You're getting charged some miniscule fee for information. And the LVA admission that ads don't pay the LVA freight turns into a snarky question about the LVA being either a "vanity project" or a charity. The dig being that if it were indeed either, then the business model has failed. God friggin' forbid.
You are being asked to pay for information and competent, quality writing. It doesn't matter if the LVA is a vanity project, a charity, a familial laundromat, or a front for reptiles from the planet Eros. They get to choose their format. Trying to snark them into realizing the error of their decades-long decision-making is just a temper tantrum.
The quality of the product, whether you should read it or not, and so on, has nothing to do with whether it's charitable, a so-called vanity project, or somebody's hobby.
