Plaza MRB coupon??

Is the coupon good for $100 or $500 when you hit a royal? And what denomination(s)?

Read the "terms and conditions" for this coupon and you will find your answer.

The calulated value of the coupon was placed at $100 which makes you think there are some qualifiers not explicitly stated in the terms on the back.  The denomination isn't mentioned which is why that feels like an open question.

Yeah, because the calculated value would be the bonus--whatever it actually is--minus the expected loss to obtain it. So for instance, let's say you're playing .25 JOB and the bonis is $500....you'll need to put in a little more than $50,000 to hit a royal. and you'll lose a half percent of that on average, or $250, so the worth of the coupon bonus would be $250.

Obviously, we need more details.

Still no mention of denomination. Though I suppose that the bartops don't have any denoms lower than .25. If those games are worse than 99%, then it's not a good play at .25.

If this is good for .05 or .10, then it would be a good play, almost regardless of how bad the base game is.

The calculated values haven't been fully derived yet. We use "0" as a placeholder, because there has to be a value. It's a $500 bonus at Plaza regardless of denom. The value we calculated is $142.

OK, now I see where you're coming from with the denom. No, can't be used for play under 25¢ and requires minimum 5-coin play. I don't think Sand Dollar has lower denoms, but 25¢ is minimum requirement, regardless.

According to VPFree2, the only good games at Sand Dollar Bar are 9/6 JOB and 9/6Bonus Deluxe, both at .50:and higher only  if there are .25 games at all, the schedules must be well under 99%.

Here's the problem. You have to play a skosh over 40,000 hands to get a royal. So you're going to be putting in over $100,000. Perfect play at FPJOB will cost you just about $500, so net $0. Perfect play at FPBD (99.64%} will net you a bit more than $100. And of course, you'll lose much more than $500 to get the royal on inferior .25 schedules.

So the $142 calculated value must be specifically for putting in $100,000+ at .50 9/6 Bonus Deluxe. Nothing else is worth bothering. Of course, if you dump that kind of coin, the Plaza will love you and send you smoochies in the mail. But you could easily lose a couple grand, or worse.

The reality is that while the odds of hitting a Royal statistically don't change, the remote possibility of hitting a Royal could happen the very next hand played. Seeing as that there is no other casino offering this type of bonus, this offer is there and the possibility of being hit could happen. Expecting to hit the bonus is another thing. All I can say is "good luck".
