Printer turn around time

When you guys send something to the printer, how long does it typically take?

According to a YouTube episode "Breaking The Slot Code" was sent to the printer in late February or early March and would be shipped to customers in April.

Anthony was very confident the books would be in the office in April. I believe his exact words were "Well not just think, I know" the book will arrive to the office in April.

In April we were told it is at the printer and would be coming soon.

Now it is May and we are still being told it is "at the printer" How long does the printer take?

Trying to be patient, but starting to suspect some dishonesty and a lack of transparency.

Edit: removed a statement speculating they received the book in April, that in hindsight I found to be unnecessary as I have no evidence for the speculation I made.

This speculation is incorrect. The book has not been received by us. If I said the things you say, then I believed them at the time, but we can't control every aspect of the process. We expect delivery any day, but still have not been given a firm ETA. The website is in beta and is ready to go live at any time, with the possible exception being if the ability to accept payment isn't set up and we're working on that now. If the book were to come in tomorrow and the commerce component wasn't ready, then yes, we'd hold it, because it affects the information in the book.

That's the reality, but I want to add that as the publisher, we can release the book whenever we want. As the customer, you have the right to cancel your order if this doesn't meet with your approval. I've made this point before and nothing has changed. Everyone who's purchased has gotten the best deal. If that's not enough, then exercise your refund rights. Excuse me for this, but uniformed accusatons of "dishonesty" ruffle me.

Fair enough.

I did not mean to accuse you of dishonesty, just expressing that I was starting to suspect it.

I retract and apologize.

Of course as the publisher you are free to delay as long as you want or even choose not to release it at all.

Hopefully you can understand why a customer might find the constant delays, without much explanation a little frustrating.

On a recent YouTube episode (Las Vegas Advisor Update: Closures Openings And Big Surprises) at the 27:10 mark you stated the book is "done, printed, and on its way back to us." Do you still stand by that statement?

Yes. Full transparency, it was supposed to ship with another book that's been delivered, but wasn't. The printer goofed on that. I believe it will be here next week. Don't hang me if it isn't.

LiveFreeNW, this is truly a one-off, at least in my memory.  From an old-timer (me), LVA is absolutely the most customer friendly, in fact solicitous, of businesses out there.

Just for research purposes, I turned my printer around, and it only took thirty seconds. It would have been even quicker, but I had to unplug it.
